Shipping and Returns

Delivery
Our deliveries are made on Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Generally, orders are delivered within three to five working days, after dispatch. Should the item be out of stock, our customer services team will contact you. Items that require resizing or makeups will take approximately twelve to fourteen working days.

On delivery, you will receive a delivery note showing the date and time for you to sign acceptance. You will receive a detailed invoice via email showing the product price details, the delivery fees (if applicable) and the amount debited from your payment card or EFT payment. Please note that you or your authorised representative will be required to sign a duplicate copy of the delivery note in order to confirm receipt. For verification purposes, the person accepting delivery at the delivery address may be required to produce a form of identification. Any person other than yourself who receives the products at the delivery address is presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf.

In the event where no-one is available on the day and time of delivery, the driver will keep the products and a notice will be left. Thereafter the driver will try to contact you to make new arrangements for delivery or collection. We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee should this be required. However our liability for any delay in delivery is limited to re-delivery at a later agreed time at no additional charge.

All of our delivery and collection arrangements have been outsourced to third party service providers. Accordingly, we cannot, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for any loss or damage caused by them.

A copy of your invoice will be included with your purchase order. A Diamond District valuation certificate will be issued on all jewellery items that exceed R5000. If an item includes diamonds to the value of R5000 or more, Diamond District shall test the diamonds with a certified diamond tester before the items leave for dispatch. The valuation certificate shall include this diamond testing which was carried out by us.

Returns and Refunds

 

If you are dissatisfied with any item purchased online for any reason, you may return it to our store within 14 days of receipt for an exchange, or within 7 working days of receipt for a refund, provided the products you are returning are in a new, unworn and re-saleable condition and returned in the same packaging you received them in. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over R500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item and cannot be held responsible if we do not receive same. 

Watches must be returned with the guarantee book, a watch box and any links which may have been removed. The price paid by the customer is the price on which the refund is based.

Please note if you have ordered more than one item in an order and only returned part of the original order, only what is returned will be exchanged or refunded, not the whole order.

For hygiene reasons earrings for pierced ears may not be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

All returns with items containing diamonds over R5000 at valuation price will be subject to a certified diamond test. Any goods failing the diamond test will not be refunded, the purchaser immediately notified, and the goods returned to the purchaser.

EFT Refunds – Diamond District requires confirmation of account holders banking details.

Returns and Refunds – Click & Collect

All refunds are to be directed through admin@diamonddistrictza.com and not through the store of collection. 

Cancellation
If, for any reason you would like to cancel an order, this may be done by visiting our website or by emailing admin@diamonddistrictza.com. You will only be able to cancel orders up until midnight on the day of purchase. We may debit your payment card for the delivery fees in respect of any late cancellations. If you cancel your payment for any reason or if your payment card should cease to be valid for whatever reason, you will remain liable for the full purchase price, including all related costs. We reserve the right to cancel any sale and/or your registration in the event of a breach of any of the Online Shopping Terms.

Personalized and Custom Made items

All items that have been personalized, custom made and/or resized will not be exchanged or refunded. 

Sale items

All items purchased on sale will unfortunately, not be refunded.

Risk and Ownership
Risk in the products shall pass to you or your authorised representative on delivery. We will retain ownership of the products until payment is received in full.

RING RESIZING

Please note all Diamond District's rings are available in standard sizes. All ring sizes may slightly differ by half a size, up or down. Not all rings can be sized up or down. If they can, we recommend a maximum of two sizes up or down.

In the event where your purchased ring requires resizing, you may visit us in store or have the ring resized at your local jeweller. Where purchased rings require sizing down, we do not charge for this service in store, however sizing up may incur additional costs based on the metal required.

Diamond District strives to ensure that the best possible price will be provided for all services required. 

Diamond District can make up rings to any size, however they will come at an additional make up cost as opposed to what is advertised on our website.
